We care at Families 1st Choice

Families 1st Choice Home Care represents our dedication and passion to families and loved ones. Compassionate care and respect is important to everyone and especially those family members who need it the most – which may be when one cannot satisfactorily care for themselves or they just need a little extra help from time-to-time.

If you or a family member has or is planning to undergo surgery or will need rehabilitation you can count on Families 1st Choice to help you manage your daily tasks that may include helping to get you to and from your doctor appointments or picking you up after surgery. For example, there are frequent needs to assist family members after cataract surgery or colonoscopy procedures – basically, any procedure that driving would not be recommended or is prohibited. The help you may want can vary from Personal Care services to light housekeeping, providing personal support and a clean, organized home so you can concentrate on getting better! Recovery Care is about putting into motion a plan to get you back on your feet and on the road to getting well safely and quickly. The plan can include a variety of services for example, a focus on nutritional requirements for specific dietary needs. Extra helping hands to assist you with safe ambulation or transfers as needed while recovering. It is all too easy for many of us to think we are 100% well before we actually are and something as simple as a little lightheadedness can quickly put you into danger resulting in a dreaded fall, which of course may lead to either a reinjure or other complications. So whether you have just started exploring treatment or have already scheduled surgery let’s work together on assessing a Recovery Care strategy to let you or your family member recover quickly and safely at home.
